We had another great turnout for the 13th annual South Dade Venture district town hall meeting on April 25. Local leaders from the City of Homestead Police Department, Public Works Department, Homestead Electric, City Manager and City Council were in attendance. The board of supervisors and management team enjoyed hearing from residents during the open forum session. A range of topics including vehicle safety, City of Homestead projects, energy savings programs, and future district projects were covered. There was also a brief video presentation (see below) highlighting the year in review. Management presented Employee of the Year awards for two security guards, Erick Granados and Jasmine Blunt, a landscaping crew member, Anicandro Dias, and the Waterstone Bay Clubhouse Supervisor, Mayra Padilla. Thank you to everyone who participated.
It was great to see so many residents attend the annual district town hall meeting on April 26. The board of supervisors and management team enjoy the open forum format as your feedback is not only welcome, but appreciated. We covered a range of topics including traffic safety, Hurricane Irma, security, and future projects. There was also a brief video presentation featuring the year in review as well as a much deserved Employee of the Year awards presentation for our landscaping porter, Jose Gomez, and district custodian, Zoraida Rodriguez. Thank you to everyone who participated.
